Big news for you fellow avid Agoura Village Bakery lovers, after many months of warning, the Agoura Village Bakery has officially MOVED to their new location next to sister restaurant, Maral Cuisine!
The Village Bakery (as we call it, didn't realize "Agoura" was in their name until writing this article and seeing their website for the first time) has been a neighborhood favorite for our family since we moved to Fountainwood 5 years ago. We're there more than I should probably admit... but hey, support local, right? It is my go to mommy/daughter pre-playground brunch date on Sunday mornings and my quick coffee fix most days in-between. It's popularity within the community is strong, as you'll never find yourself the only one in the store.
A coffee house and bakery above all else, Village Bakery offers a multitude of coffees, teas, and smoothies as well as a large array of delicatessen treats and breads. Their large breakfast menu is available all day and features some of the most indulgent pancakes and waffles you have ever heard of. We haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but we are well on our way. The problem is everything we have tried is so delicious that we just keep ordering the same things over and over! Here are some of my family's favorite Village Bakery dishes:
Ham, Egg, and Cheese Croissant. It's the most basic of breakfast sandwiches, but the flavor balance of the ingredients is chef's kiss and we can't stop ordering them!
The Green Omelet. Sauteed mushroom, spinach, asparagus, and mozzarella cheese topped with avocado. It's the asparagus that really kicks the taste up a notch and gives this omelet it's unique flavor. Ask for the potatoes as your side!
Iced Vanilla Latte. I don't see it on their website, but they do have it, and it is yummy.
Village Pancakes. Buttermilk pancakes with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and Nutella. Obviously my girls' go to breakfast request.
Chicken Fillet Sandwich. Chicken breast, pickle, tomato, lettuce, onion, sauce, cheese, and parsley all come together and just work in this sandwich, and this is coming from someone who typically doesn't do pickles.
Our favorite local pet store, Healthy Pet, will be moving into Village Bakery's old location. I love living across from a shopping center with so many great stores, it is such an asset to our community!
Village Bakery is open daily from 8 am to 4 pm and is located at 5839 Kanan Rd. You can view their menu here.
