Events season is in full swing here in the Conejo Valley. We have art shows galore, concerts in the park, festivals, and so much more. So clear your calendars, these are the only plans you'll need this May!

April 25th- May 5th


SANTA BARBARA FAIR AND EXPO

Located at the Earl Warren Showgrounds, you'll enjoy carnival games, attractions, farm animals, food, entertainment, and everything else that comes with a fair. Consult the website for ticket information and a full breakdown of all the dates and hours.

April 26th


CAMARILLO OLD TOWN FRIDAY NIGHT CRUISE

4 PM TO 7 PM

The cruise is back! The 4th Friday of each month from now until October head up to Old Town Camarillo and enjoy over 200 classic and/or collector cars while you dine at local eateries and shop vendor booths. More information here.

April 27th


ANNUAL HUCK FINN FISHIN' DERBY

6:30 AM TO 8:30 AM

Don't let the early start time scare you, this is the perfect event for any young anglers looking to hook a big one! Taking place at Rancho Simi Community Park in Simi, the lagoon will be stocked with over 1,500 pounds of fish before the kiddos cast their lines. There are 3 different age categories and it is open to children15 years of age and younger. Prizes include heaviest fish and longest fish. Click here for full details.


KIDS FUN ZONE AT JANSS MARKETPLACE

12 PM TO 2 PM

It's that time of year again! The last Saturday of each month from now until October the littles will enjoy this FREE event put on by Janss Marketplace. This months theme is "Bunnies in Spring". Kids 12 and under will love the shows, crafts, music, and dancing that surrounds these events. The remaining Fun Zones for the year are:

May 25th "Totally Turtles and Tortoises"
June 29th "Musical Puppet Show and Balloons"
July 27th "Bubbles, Puppets, and Balloons"
August 31st "Summer Music Jam"

BIKE SAFETY DAY

12 PM TO 4 PM

The city of Agoura Hills is sponsoring a Bike Safety Day Lindero Canyon Milldle School. There will be an Advanced Skills Program, Bike Repair Station, Safety Station, and much more! Open for ages 3 and up, and make sure to bring your bike! First 10 kids get a free helmet!

COMMUNITY SERVICE DAYS

9 AM TO 12 PM

Serve your community! At this day of service in Agoura Hills. Pick up trash, plant milkweed, pull weeds, or help stain fence railings. Click here to sign up for your desired position and to learn more.


SIMI VALLEY STREET FAIR

9 AM TO 4 PM

Event will have vendors, street food, live music, entertainment, beer and wine garden,a kids' fun zone, and more! Free admission. Takes place at Simi Town Center Way, all details can be found here.


3rd ANNUAL MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS COMMUNITY EVENT

11 AM TO 2 PM

Taking place at Conejo Creek North Park, this FREE event is put on by the non-profit Childhood Matters. Attendees will enjoy a day filled of hands-on activities that will incorporate art, music, mindfulness, fitness, play, nature, animal therapy, and more. Try your hand at the silent auction, or shop the outdoor market full of local vendors. Word is they take May the Fourth Be With You day seriously, so expect some out-of-this-world guests! Fun for the whole family.

May 4th & 5th


805 NIGHT MARKET

3 PM TO 10 PM

Foodies unite! The best street food around will all be at one location for these two days on the campus of Cal Lutheran University. Last year's event was so fun, we went twice. Admission is free, but you do need to reserve a ticket online, which can be done here. If you like eating food out of a truck as much as we do, you DO NOT want to miss this event! Can't make it, or want to go again? Look for more of these events this summer:

May 5th


CONEJO VALLEY "GOOD OLD DAYS" PARADE

9 AM TO 11 AM

Come support the revitalized Conejo Valley Days Parade! After a 10 year hiatus, the parade is BACK, and better than ever. Parade route is along Thousand Oaks Blvd and will begin at the junction of Duesenberg Drive/Auto Mall Drive, and end at Conejo School Road. 47th ANNUAL THOUSAND OAKS CHILI COOK OFF

12 PM TO 5 PM

47th Annual TO Chili Cook Off, Car Show, & Craft Brew Fest at Conejo Creek North Park. It's one of the biggest events of the year! Over 40 Chili tasting booths with unlimited tastings are included with general admission (get there early, they do run out!). Running simultaneously with the chili is a Craft Brew Festival (tickets are $75 to attend both events) and a Car Show. Live music, a free kids' fun zone, and over a dozen food trucks round out the offerings. Proceeds go to local charities. $25 GA, $40 VIP, kids 10 and under are free. More information here.

STAGECOACH INN MUSEUM SPEAKERS SERIES

2 AM TO 3:30 PM

“Discover Hidden History of the Conejo Valley- Rancho Guadalasca” with guest speaker Colleen Delany, author and professor at CSU Channel Islands. The audience will hear little known stories of our area that include a "holy city", Percheron horses, and possible WWll agents. Cost to attend is $10 and is at the Museum.

Mark your calendars for the final date of this series, June 2nd, when Richard Foss will discuss "Victorian Taste of Conejo- Discover What People Ate and How Food Was Prepared".

May 11th


AGOURA HILLS FIRE SERVICE AND PUBLIC SAFETY DAY

10 AM TO 2 PM

Taking place at Fire Station #89 on Canwood street in Agoura Hills. Meet your local firefighters and enjoy demonstrations, CPR sessions, a helicopter flyover, free hot dogs, a kid zone, and more. Free! Click here for more.

ARCHANA 2024 FESTIVAL OF INDIAN FOLK AND BOLLYWOOD DANCE, MUSIC, DRAMA, AND FOOD

3 PM TO 5 PM

At the Bank of America Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $50 for GA, and $30 for students and seniors. Premium tickets are $125. Show will start at 3:30 pm in the Fred Kavli Theatre and will be followed with tea and snacks after the performance. More information can be found by visiting their website.


MOORPARK APRICOT FESTIVA

11 AM TO 5 PM

Taking place on Moorpark's historic High Street (Between Walnut Ave. and Bard St.), this vibrant street fair promises to be an event rich in history and culture, and not to mention Apricots! Fun for the whole family, admission is free! Click here for more details.

May 12th


TINY PORCH CONCERT SERIES

5 PM TO 8 PM

The Tiny Porch Concert Series kicks off this summer with "The Accidentals" and "Jems" performing at Peter Strauss Ranch. The concert is free to attend, but a suggested donation of $20 is appreciated and goes to benefit the Santa Monica Mountains Fund. VIP tickets are available for $60 and include a beer, wine, and cheese reception an hour before the show starts, as well as a prime seat. This summer's series continues on:

July 14th- Mary Scholtz and Adam Ezra
August 11th- The Riverside and The Salty Suites

ARTSFEST

10 AM TO 3 PM

Features artists, vendors, face paintings, demonstrations, and more. Free to attend, though some activities will have their own fees. At Rancho Tapo Community Park in Simi Valley. Click here for more information.

May 18th & 19th


SCANDINAVIAN FESTIVAL

10 AM TO 6 PM*

One of our favorite local festivals! Enjoy two days of Nordic music, dancing, activities, and food. Children will love the craft souvenirs and collecting passport stickers, and adults will love the vendors and demonstrations. Eat your heart out on aebleskivers, Swedish meatballs, and more delicious Scandinavian fare. ABBAFab headlines the the main stage each day. This festival is not to be missed! Takes place at Cal Lutheran University. Tickets start at $18, and kids 12 and under are FREE. Purchase tickets online here, price increases to $20 on May 1st.

*Festival ends at 5pm on Sunday.


CALIFORNIA STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL

10 AM TO 7:30 PM*

The Ventura County Fairgrounds will host the 38th annual strawberry festival once more! Patrons will enjoy all things strawberry from over 50 food and beverage booths, vendors, a Ninja Nation obstacle course, live entertainment, and making their own strawberry shortcake. And don't forget to buy a carton of the most perfect strawberries freshly picked from the farm on your way out. Admission is $15. Military and seniors are $10, children 5 to 12 are $8, while 4 and under are free. You can visit the website here for more information.

May 19th


TOPANGA BANJO-FIDDLE CONTEST & FOLK FESTIVAL

9 AM TO 7:30 PM

At King Gillette Ranch. Hear sweet sounds by talented musicians and spend your day participating in jam sessions, workshops, dance offs, shopping vendors, and partaking of delicious food. Tickets are $50, and $40 for seniors and students. Learn more here.

May 24-26th


GOLD COAST GEM SHOW

10 AM TO 5 PM*

Free admission! Takes place at the Ventura County Fairgrounds and runs through the weekend. Event features gems, minerals, fossils, rocks, jewelry, kids' activities, a silent auction, and even gold panning. A must for any rock hound! More information here.

May 25th


3rd ANNUAL HAPPY FACE FESTIVAL

12 PM TO 7 AM

Taking place at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park in Simi, this festival will feature a plethora of live music and entertainment. Food trucks will be out in force. Nosh while hearing bands covering the greats like The Beatles, Elton John, Led Zeppelin, and The Rolling Stones. Tickets are $25 and children 16 and under are free! Check out all the details here.

OJAI ART IN THE PARK

10 AM TO 5 PM

Since 1977 artists have spent Memorial Day weekend here in Ojai at this annual event. Art of all mediums can be found this weekend in Libbey Park. Admission is free. Click here to learn more.

May 25-27th


l MADONNARI ITALIAN STREET PAINTING FESTIVAL

10 AM TO 6 PM

Street painters take over the Santa Barbara Mission in this Italian tradition. Witness the Mission transform with over the over130 exquisite masterpieces that will be created. Live music and food vendors round out this experience. More information can be found here.

May 27th


MEMORIAL DAY EVENT AT THE REAGAN LIBRARY

9 AM TO 11 AM

Honor those who have fought for our nation at the Reagan Library this Memorial Day. Event is free to attend, though should you wish to visit the Library standard rates will apply. Music starts at 9 and the program will begin at 10. Click here to learn more.


CRPD CONCERTS IN THE PARK

5 PM TO 7:30 PM

Get ready for summer at this FREE concert in the park! Britain's Finest- The Complete Beatles Experience will sing the night away at the Conejo Community Park in Thousand Oaks. Featured food trucks are Cousins Maine Lobster, Hot Diffity Dog, and Mister Softee. Visit the CRPD website to learn more and make sure mark the rest of this series in your calendar:

FREE JAZZ CONCERT

7 PM TO 8:45 PM

The TGIF Westlake Village series kicks off this night with music by the talented students from Agoura High School and Lindero Canyon Middle Jazz bands. Concerts will be performed at the Westlake Village Civic Center and food trucks will be open for dinner at 6 pm. The rest of the series will be:

August 2nd- 5 Star Theatricals

THOUSAND OAKS POP-UP ARTS AND MUSIC FEST

7 PM TO 8:30 PM

The first concert in this extensive summer series features the talent of Ron Artis ll & The Truth at the Conejo Creek North Park. This series will will "pop-up" at various parks throughout the Thousand Oaks area and will feature a wide variety of arts and music acts. Free and open for all to attend! CONEJO FAMILYFEST/HEALTH AND EDUCATION FAIR

This event is presented by Calabasas Mommy & Conejo Family Events and is taking place at Mae Boyar Park in Oak Park. The whole family will enjoy vendors, fitness demos and challenges, story time, craft stations, lawn games, a superhero, sports, and princess dress-up party, and more!
